Silver Futures Surge: Prices Rise to Rs 89,301/kg
Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) rallied on Friday, with prices increasing by Rs 128 to Rs 89,301 per kg due to increased investor bets. Analysts attributed the surge to fresh positions built up by participants. Global silver prices saw a slight decline.

New Delhi, Jan 3 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday rose Rs 128 to Rs 89,301 per kilogram as participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased Rs 128 or 0.14 per cent to Rs 89,301 per kg in a business turnover of 32,746 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Globally, silver was trading 0.12 per cent lower at USD 29.60 per ounce in New York.
