Skoda Auto Sales Rise 17% in India Q1 2026

Skoda Auto India reports a 17% increase in vehicle sales to 20,028 units in Q1 2026, driven by Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia, and Kodiaq demand.

Mumbai, Apr 1 (PTI) Czech auto major Skoda Auto on Wednesday said its vehicles sales in India spiked 17 per cent to 20,028 units in the January-March quarter of CY 2026 from 17,138 vehicles in the same quarter of last year, driven by an enhanced product portfolio and expanding market reach.
Building on a landmark 2025, when it posted a record 107 per cent year-on-year growth, Skoda Auto India has sustained its growth surge and continues accelerating its momentum in the domestic market, the company said.
Skoda Auto India continues its strong growth trajectory into 2026, recording its highest-ever quarterly sales in Q1 (January-March) with 20,028 units sold, the company said.
The company's product range in India includes the SUVs -- Kodiaq, Kylaq and Kushaq, and a sedan - Slavia.
The company said its performance has been led by the strong and consistent demand for the Kylaq, which recently crossed the 50,000 sales milestone, the introduction of the new Kushaq, steady contribution from the Slavia, and the continued demand for the Kodiaq in the premium SUV segment.
"This growth is driven by a combination of a stronger and more accessible product portfolio, deeper market reach, and a sharper focus on customer-centric initiatives," said Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India.
The Kylaq continues to take the brand to newer customers and regions, and the new Kushaq that was recently introduced has made its mark, he said and added that the Slavia and Kodiaq continue to drive consistent demand in their segments.
"As we move ahead, we remain focused on maintaining this momentum with consistent execution by launching relevant products, expanding our network, and enhancing the overall ownership experience," Gupta added.
