New Delhi, Jul 7 (PTI) Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd on Tuesday said it has completed the acquisition of Singapore-based Workstudio Spaces to expand business.
Gurugram-based Smartworks has a total portfolio of 16.1 million square feet across 66 centres in 15 cities in India and Singapore.
With the acquisition of Workstudio Spaces Pte. Ltd, the company's Singapore portfolio has expanded to four operational centres, covering about 76,000 sq ft area with a seating capacity of over 1,500, Smartworks said in a regulatory filing.
The acquisition also brings over 45 clients across diverse sectors into the company's Singapore portfolio.
Smartworks, however, did not disclose the deal value.
"Singapore remains a strategic market for us - in just two years, we have more than doubled our footprint here. Workstudio complements our existing portfolio well and strengthens our offering for enterprise clients in the city," Neetish Sarda, Founder and Managing Director, Smartworks, said.
Smartworks partners with developers to transform large, bare-shell office assets into fully managed, enterprise-grade campuses. It primarily serves mid-to-large enterprises.
The demand for managed flexible office spaces is rising in India, prompting the operators to expand business through both organic and inorganic routes.
For the 2025-26 fiscal, Smartworks posted a net profit of Rs 10.52 crore as against a net loss of Rs 63.17 crore in the preceding financial year. Total income rose to Rs 1,849.9 crore last fiscal from Rs 1,409.66 crore during 2024-25.
