Somany Ceramics: Gas Supply Impact on Haryana Plant

New Delhi, Mar 12 (PTI) Somany Ceramics Ltd on Thursday said production at its Kassar plant in Haryana may be partially impacted due to restricted gas supply following the war in West Asia.

The company has received a communication from GAIL (India) Ltd stating that gas supplies to industrial consumers shall be maintained at 80 per cent of the past six months' average gas consumption and any 'overdrawl' shall be invoiced as per the applicable contractual terms and conditions, with effect from March 12, 2026, Somany Ceramics said in a regulatory filing.

The development is due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia and its impact on global energy markets and as per the revised supply regulations issued pursuant to Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas notification dated March 9, 2026, it added.


"In view of the above, the plant of the company located at Kassar, Bahadurgarh, Haryana shall receive restricted gas supply. This may have a partial impact on the company's production activities at the plant," the filing said.

Somany Ceramics said it is actively evaluating the situation and taking necessary measures to minimize the impact.

Considering the company's existing inventory levels, supplies are continuing in the normal course of business, it added.
