Sterlite Electric Appoints New Group CEO

New Delhi, Mar 24 (PTI) Sterlite Electric on Tuesday announced the appointment of Frederic Andre M Trefois as its Group Chief Executive Officer.

He previously served as a non-executive independent director on the company's board, a company statement said. He has experience in overseeing and handling management of companies and will lead Sterlite Electric's next phase of growth.

Pratik Agarwal, Managing Director, Sterlite Electric, said in the statement, "Frederic brings global perspective, disciplined execution, and deep sector insight at a time when grids worldwide must evolve to meet complexity and scale. His leadership will help Sterlite Electric grow while reinforcing our role in enabling reliable, affordable, and sustainable power."


Prior to joining Sterlite Electric, Frederic was associated with Secheron Hasler group and SNC-Lavalin Inc.

An engineer by training, Frederic holds degrees in civil engineering, the statement added.

Sterlite Electric Ltd (formerly known as Sterlite Power Transmission Limited) is a manufacturer of capital goods and a provider of system integration solutions, specialising in the power transmission and distribution (Power T&D) industry for both domestic and international markets.

Its product portfolio includes a wide range of overhead conductors, power cables, optical ground wire (OPGW), along with the provision of Master System Integration (MSI) services.
