SusMafia awards its Big Pi Grant of Rs 31.4 lakh to Agropak, a biotech startup making bio-based packaging. India''s largest non-dilutive grant for climate startups.
New Delhi, Jul 21 (PTI) The Sustainability Mafia (SusMafia), an Indian climate-focused founder network, on Tuesday said it has awarded its Big Pi Grant, worth Rs 31.4 lakh to Agropak, a biotech startup that makes bio-based packaging materials for the beauty and personal care industry.

The grant, presented at the third edition of the SusCrunch startup event, is billed as India's largest non-dilutive grant for early-stage climate startups, meaning recipients keep their equity.

Agropak was chosen from more than 50 applicants and will also receive mentorship and access to SusMafia's incubator and investor network, the organisation said in a statement.

The award comes as global early-stage climate funding has fallen to a five-year low, according to the State of Climate Tech 2025 report, even as India's climate-tech sector has drawn nearly USD 12.8 billion in funding across 1,583 startups since 2008, as per the Tracxn India Climate Tech 2026 Report.
