Lucknow, Jul 2 (PTI) The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has approved 10 new real estate projects across four districts involving an estimated investment of Rs 1,278 crore, an official statement said on Thursday.

The projects, approved at the authority's meeting chaired by UP RERA Chairman Sanjay Bhoosreddy, are expected to develop around 4,498 residential and commercial units in Lucknow, Noida, Agra and Ghaziabad.

According to the statement, Lucknow accounted for the highest number of approved projects and units, with six projects involving an estimated investment of Rs 438.29 crore. These include five residential projects and one mixed-use project that will together develop 2,284 units.

Gautam Buddha Nagar topped the list in terms of investment, with two commercial projects worth Rs 496.27 crore receiving approval. The projects will develop 981 commercial units, including shops and studio spaces.

One residential project worth Rs 223.04 crore was approved in Agra, where 761 housing units will be developed. In Ghaziabad, one commercial project involving an investment of Rs 120.88 crore was cleared, with plans to develop 472 commercial units.

UP RERA said the projects comprise residential, commercial and mixed-use developments and are expected to boost planned urban growth while meeting the rising demand for housing and modern commercial infrastructure in the state.

The authority said the projects would be monitored to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act and completion within the stipulated timelines.

According to the statement, the investments are expected to generate direct and indirect employment during the construction phase and spur demand in sectors such as construction materials, engineering services, transport and logistics.

The UP RERA Chairman said the authority remained committed to strengthening a transparent, effective and accountable regulatory framework for the real estate sector.

"Timely approval of projects and effective monitoring are creating a more reliable environment for both promoters and homebuyers. UP RERA will continue to ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the RERA Act while safeguarding consumer interests and promoting balanced and sustainable growth of the real estate sector in the state," he said.
