Westlife Foodworld, operator of McDonald's in West ' South India, reports over 100% jump in Q4 net profit to Rs 1.52 crore. Read more on its financial performance.
New Delhi, May 14 (PTI) Westlife Foodworld, operator of McDonald's restaurants in West and South India, on Wednesday reported over two-fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 1.52 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025.

In the January-March quarter a year ago, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 0.76 crore, Westlife Foodworld said in a regulatory filing.

Its revenue from operations was up 7.26 per cent at Rs 603.14 crore in the March quarter of FY'25. This was at Rs 562.28 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

"The company achieved a Same-Store Sales Growth (SSSG) of 0.7 per cent, underpinned by a steady guest count. The adjusted SSSG, excluding the leap year impact, was 1.7 per cent," Westlife Foodworld said in its earnings statement.

In the fourth quarter, Westlife Foodworld maintained a stable gross margin of approximately 70 per cent, it added.

"Restaurant operating margins and Operating EBITDA margin declined by around 30 bps and 50 bps YoY, respectively, due to operating deleverage, partially offset by targeted cost efficiencies and normalisation of marketing spends," it said.

In the March quarter, on-premise sales grew by 8 per cent YoY, while off-premise sales grew by 5 per cent YoY. Its off-premise, which is mainly online sales, contributed 43 per cent of total sales.


Total expenses of Westlife Foodworld in the March quarter were up 8.17 per cent to Rs 611.75 crore.

Westlife Foodworld's total income, which includes other incomes, was up 8 per cent at Rs 613.09 crore in the March quarter.

The company, as part of its expansion plan, added 18 new McDonald's restaurants in the quarter, bringing the total restaurant count to 438 across 69 cities as of March 31, 2025.

For the financial year ended March 31, 2025, Westlife Foodworld's net profit was down 82.44 per cent to Rs 12.14 crore, from Rs 69.21 crore a year ago.

In FY25, Westlife Foodworld's total consolidated income rose 4.37 per cent to Rs 2,515.66 crore, helped by 6.4 per cent growth in volume.

Westlife Foodworld, formerly known as Westlife Development operates Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) in India through its subsidiary Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt Ltd. It has a master franchisee relationship with McDonald's Corporation USA to operate a chain of McDonald's restaurants in West and South India.

Shares of Westlife Foodworld Ltd on Wednesday settled at Rs 697.40 on BSE, down 0.21 per cent from the previous close.
