Zinc prices fell by 1.26% on Wednesday due to reduced speculation and weak demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Nov 22 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell by 1.26 per cent to Rs 223.45 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded lower by Rs 2.85 or 1.26 per cent at Rs 223.45 per kg in 1,898 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
