Zinc prices fell 0.51% to Rs 281.35 per kg on Wednesday, driven by weak demand in the physical market and speculators reducing their exposure.
New Delhi, Dec 18 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 0.51 per cent to Rs 281.35 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded Rs 1.45 or 0.51 per cent lower at Rs 281.35 per kg in 1,061 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
