Zinc prices fell 0.6% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced demand from consuming industries and negative cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Dec 19 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.6 per cent to Rs 279.35 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded Rs 1.70 or 0.6 per cent lower at Rs 279.35 per kg in 1,183 lots.

Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
