Zinc prices fell 0.56% on Friday, reaching Rs 276 per kg, due to reduced speculation and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jan 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.56 per cent to Rs 276 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded Rs 1.55 or 0.56 per cent lower at Rs 276 per kg in 275 lots.

Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
