Zinc prices fell 0.47% on Tuesday due to weak demand and reduced speculation, according to PTI. The decline was attributed to slackened demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jan 14 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 272.55 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded Rs 1.30 or 0.47 per cent lower at Rs 272.55 per kg in 1,038 lots.

Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
