Zinc futures prices fell 0.16% on Monday to Rs 277.60 per kilogram, driven by weak demand from consuming industries and speculators reducing their exposure.
New Delhi, Jan 20 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.16 per cent to Rs 277.60 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded 45 paise or 0.16 per cent lower at Rs 277.60 per kg in 1,743 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
