Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand

Zinc prices fell 0.52% to Rs 257.05 per kg in futures trade due to weak demand and reduced speculator exposure.
New Delhi, Jul 15 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.52 per cent to Rs 257.05 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded lower Rs 1.35 or 0.52 per cent at Rs 257.05 per kg in 1,411 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
