Zinc Futures Drop on Weak Demand | PTI

Zinc prices fell 2.07% to Rs 257.30 per kg on Thursday due to muted demand in the physical market, according to PTI. Speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Sep 5 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 2.07 per cent to Rs 257.30 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded Rs 5.45 or 2.07 per cent lower at Rs 257.30 per kg in 398 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
