Zinc Futures Fall on Muted Demand
By Rediff Money Desk, New Delhi Aug 28, 2024 13:42
Zinc futures prices declined 1.14% on Wednesday, driven by reduced speculator activity and weak demand in the physical market.
New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 1.14 per cent to Rs 268.25 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded Rs 3.10 or 1.14 per cent lower at Rs 268.25 per kg in 2,211 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
