Zinc futures decline 0.45% to Rs 266.05/kg on MCX due to reduced exposure and weak demand from consuming industries. August 19 report.
New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.45 per cent to Rs 266.05 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded lower Rs 1.20 or 0.45 per cent at Rs 266.05 per kg in 1,107 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
