Zinc futures prices fell on MCX due to weak demand and reduced exposure by speculators. January delivery slipped to Rs 319.80 per kg.
New Delhi, Jan 16 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell Rs 1.45 to Rs 319.80 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery slipped by Rs 1.45, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 319.80 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,764 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
