Zinc prices declined 0.33% to Rs 253.45/kg in futures trade due to weak demand and reduced speculator exposure. Multi Commodity Exchange saw June contracts trade lower.
New Delhi, May 30 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.33 per cent to Rs 253.45 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded lower by 85 paise or 0.33 per cent at Rs 253.45 per kg in 3,048 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
