Zinc prices declined 0.72% to Rs 256.50 per kg in futures trade due to reduced speculator exposure and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jul 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.72 per cent to Rs 256.50 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded lower by Rs 1.85 or 0.72 per cent at Rs 256.50 per kg in 3,491 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
