Zinc prices declined 0.31% to Rs 257.65 per kg in futures trading due to reduced speculator exposure and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jul 3 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.31 per cent to Rs 257.65 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded lower 80 paise or 0.31 per cent at Rs 257.65 per kg in 3,484 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
