Zinc Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Zinc futures prices ease on MCX due to weak demand and reduced exposure by speculators. April contracts slip 0.08%.
New Delhi, Mar 4 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 25 paise to Rs 329.75 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery slipped by 25 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 329.75 per kilogram in a business turnover of 31 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants, owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly weighed on zinc prices.
