Zinc Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Zinc futures prices fell by Rs 2.15 to Rs 375.15 per kg on Friday as speculators reduced exposure due to weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell Rs 2.15 to Rs 375.15 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery slipped by Rs 2.15, or 0.57 per cent, to Rs 375.15 per kilogram in a business turnover of 579 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants, owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly weighed on zinc prices.
