Zinc Futures Rise: Demand Boosts Prices

Zinc futures climb on increased spot demand. January contracts up on MCX. Learn why zinc prices are rising in futures trading.
New Delhi, Jan 2 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 1.50 to Rs 309.55 per kg in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 1.50, or 0.49 per cent, to Rs 309.55 per kilogram in a business turnover of 5,493 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
