Zinc Futures Rise: Demand Boosts Prices

Zinc futures climb on high demand. March contracts up on MCX. Limited buying supports prices despite cautious sentiment.
New Delhi, Feb 4 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.40 to Rs 328.60 per kg in futures trade as traders stayed on the sidelines amid a lack of fresh triggers.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery edged up by Rs 1.40, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 328.60 per kg with a business turnover of 91 lots.
Traders attributed the slight rise in zinc futures to limited buying at lower levels, even as a lack of fresh triggers kept overall sentiment cautious.
