Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

Zinc prices rise in futures trade due to spot demand. September contracts up 0.19% at Rs 263.30/kg on MCX.
New Delhi, Aug 4 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose 50 paise to Rs 263.30 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded higher 50 paise or 0.19 per cent at Rs 263.30 per kg with a business turnover of 225 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
