Zinc Futures Rise on Demand
Zinc futures climb on spot demand. September contracts up 0.39% at Rs 267/kg. Marketmen cite increased industry consumption.
New Delhi, Aug 5 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 1.05 to Rs 267 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded higher Rs 1.05 or 0.39 per cent at Rs 267 per kg with a business turnover of 249 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
