Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

Zinc futures prices increase due to high spot demand. September contracts rise on MCX. Marketmen cite increased demand from industries.
New Delhi, Sep 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.95 to Rs 273.25 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded higher by Rs 1.95 or 0.72 per cent to Rs 273.25 per kilogram with a business turnover of 3,446 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
