Zinc Futures Rise on Demand

Zinc futures climb on spot demand. October contracts up 0.23% at Rs 285.55/kg. Marketmen cite increased demand from industries.
New Delhi, Sep 26 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 65 paise to Rs 285.55 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher 65 paise or 0.23 per cent at Rs 285.55 per kg with a business turnover of 3,102 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
