Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand - PTI
Zinc prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to increased spot demand. Market participants widened their positions, fueled by strong demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jan 7 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose 95 paise to Rs 275.60 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded higher by 95 paise or 0.45 per cent at Rs 275.60 per kg with a business turnover of 415 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
