Zinc prices surged 15 paise to Rs 247 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by increased demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, May 5 (PTI) Zinc prices increased 15 paise to Rs 247 per kilogram in the futures trade on Monday amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded higher by 15 paise or 0.06 per cent at Rs 247 per kg with a business turnover of 281 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
