Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand

Zinc prices rose in futures trade on July 8th, driven by increased spot demand and widening participant positions.
New Delhi, Jul 8 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs 1.10 to Rs 255.40 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery traded higher Rs 1.10 or 0.43 per cent at Rs 255.40 per kg with a business turnover of 3,221 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
