Zinc Futures Rise on High Demand

Zinc prices increased by Rs 3.75 to Rs 262.55 per kg in futures trade due to higher spot demand and increased positions by participants.
New Delhi, Jul 18 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose Rs 3.75 to Rs 262.55 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded higher by Rs 3.75 or 1.45 per cent to Rs 262.55 per kg with a business turnover of 1,870 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
