Zinc Futures Rise on Muted Global Cues

Zinc futures edged higher by 10 paise to Rs 367.60 per kg on MCX. Marginal buying supported prices despite subdued global cues.
New Delhi, May 27 (PTI) Zinc prices edged up by 10 paise to Rs 367.60 per kilogram in futures trade on Wednesday amid marginal buying by participants despite subdued overseas cues.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the most-active June contract rose by 10 paise, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 367.60 per kg in a business turnover of 2,304 lots.
The contract had settled at Rs 367.50 per kg in the previous session.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders supported zinc prices in the domestic market.
In the international markets, zinc futures on the London Metal Exchange traded flat at USD 3,535.05 per metric tonne.
