Zinc Futures Rise on Strong Demand - PTI
Zinc prices in India rose on December 26 due to increased demand from consuming industries, according to the Press Trust of India.
New Delhi, Dec 26 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose marginally by 55 paise to Rs 282.55 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 55 paise or 0.2 per cent at Rs 282.55 per kg with a business turnover of 3,021 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
