Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand - PTI
Zinc prices rose 30 paise to Rs 280.50 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand and widening positions by participants.
New Delhi, Nov 22 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday rose 30 paise to Rs 280.50 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for December delivery traded higher by 30 paise or 0.11 per cent at Rs 280.50 per kg with a business turnover of 2,227 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
