Zinc Futures Surge on High Demand

Zinc prices rose 2.99% on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by strong demand from consuming industries. Futures contracts for November delivery closed at Rs 298.05 per kg.
New Delhi, Oct 24 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday rose 2.99 per cent to Rs 298.05 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for November delivery traded Rs 8.65 or 2.99 per cent higher at Rs 298.05 per kg in 2,816 lots.

Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
