Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand - PTI
Zinc prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Monday, driven by increased demand from consuming industries. The February contract traded higher by Rs 1.05 or 0.39 per cent at Rs 271 per kg.
New Delhi, Jan 27 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday rose Rs 1.05 to Rs 271 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 1.05 or 0.39 per cent at Rs 271 per kg with a business turnover of 2,523 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
