Zinc Futures Surge on Strong Demand
Zinc prices rose 80 paise to Rs 282.95 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Dec 31 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday rose 80 paise to Rs 282.95 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 80 paise or 0.28 per cent at Rs 282.95 per kg with a business turnover of 2,951 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for January delivery traded higher by 80 paise or 0.28 per cent at Rs 282.95 per kg with a business turnover of 2,951 lots.
