Deepak Nitrite's subsidiary, Deepak Chem Tech Ltd, has acquired a 100% stake in Narmada Thermal Power Private Ltd for Rs 61.65 crore. The acquisition is expected to be completed by June 30.

Deepak Nitrite reported an 8.54% rise in net profit for the March quarter to Rs 253.85 crore. The company also acquired OXOC Chemicals Ltd, making it a wholly owned subsidiary.

Deepak Chem Tech will invest Rs 9,000 crore to establish chemical manufacturing units in Dahej, Gujarat, creating 1,300 jobs. The project is expected to be operational by 2027.
