CAIRN INDIA LTD. - Cairn India Ltd reply to clarification sought by the exchange

The Exchange had sought clarification from Cairn India Ltd with respect to news appearing on The Financial Express on August 19, 2015 titled "Cairn to seek damages from govt for tax notice"<BR> <BR>Cairn India Ltd replied stating "The media report pertains to Cairn Energy Plc.<BR> <BR>Cairn Energy Plc, the erstwhile promoter company of Cairn India Limited (CIL), is not a part of CIL, other than holding CIL shares through its subsidiary viz. Cairn UK Holdings Limited."
