SUN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES LTD. - Clarification from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd

The Exchange has sought clarification from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd with respect to news article appearing in Business Standard on October 15, 2014 titled "Sun, Ranbaxy may be asked to sell some business for CCI approval to merge."<br/><br/>Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd has replied to BSE as under:<br/><br/>"a) We wish to clarify that we have not received any direction from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for divesting any business as indicated in the said news article.<br/><br/>(b) Further, the Company is not aware of any information that has not been announced to the Exchanges under clause 36 of the Listing Agreement".
