Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

Aluminium futures climb on fresh bets at MCX. January contracts up 0.07% to Rs 277.25/kg. Demand from industries supports price rise.

New Delhi, Dec 2 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Tuesday rose by 20 paise to Rs 277.25 per kilogram in the domestic futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in January went up by 20 paise or 0.07 per cent to Rs 277.25 per kg in a business turnover of 259 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
