Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

Aluminium futures climb on fresh bets. Prices up Rs 0.45 to Rs 280.80/kg in domestic futures trade. Demand from industries supports the rise.
New Delhi, Dec 4 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Thursday rose 45 paise to Rs 280.80 per kilogram in the domestic futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in January went up by 45 paise or 0.16 per cent to Rs 280.80 per kilogram in a business turnover of 323 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
