Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell 0.88% on Friday, driven by muted demand in the domestic market. Analysts attribute the decline to position trimming by speculators.
New Delhi, Jul 19 (PTI) Copper futures on Friday fell 0.88 per cent to Rs 820.65 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for July delivery eased by Rs 7.25 or 0.88 per cent to Rs 820.65 per kg in a business turnover of 9,403 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
