Copper Futures Rise on Higher Demand - PTI

Copper prices gained 0.56% on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by increased spot demand. Analysts cite higher bets by participants for the rise.
New Delhi, May 17 (PTI) Copper prices on Friday rose 0.56 per cent to Rs 899.35 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in May traded higher Rs 5.05 or 0.56 per cent at Rs 899.35 per kg in a business turnover of 7,259 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
