Copper futures gain on higher demand

Copper futures prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose on Thursday due to higher spot demand. Analysts attribute the rise to increased betting by participants.
New Delhi, Jun 20 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose 0.06 per cent to Rs 855.10 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in June traded higher 55 paise or 0.06 per cent at Rs 855.10 per kg in a business turnover of 3,739 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
