Copper Futures Rise on Higher Demand - PTI

Copper prices in India rose on Thursday due to increased demand. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw copper contracts for May delivery trading higher at Rs 899.50 per kg.
New Delhi, May 16 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose 0.85 per cent to Rs 899.50 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in May traded higher Rs 14.90 or 0.85 per cent at Rs 899.50 per kg in a business turnover of 5,579 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
