Copper Futures Rise on Higher Demand

Copper prices gained 0.22% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased demand. The rise was attributed to participants'' betting on higher prices.
New Delhi, Dec 22 (PTI) Copper prices on Friday rose 0.22 per cent to Rs 735.20 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 1.65 or 0.22 per cent at Rs 735.20 per kg in a business turnover of 4,591 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
